How this list is organised

Clinics are grouped by the kind of care they provide, because that determines how you are seen and what you can be treated for.

  • Urgent and primary care centres (UPCCs) — publicly run by Vancouver Coastal Health, open seven days a week, for problems needing care within 12 to 24 hours.
  • Hospital urgent care — a hospital-based department for non-life-threatening problems, with imaging and lab services on site.
  • Walk-in clinics — private family-practice offices that accept unbooked patients during posted hours.
  • Community health clinics — non-profit clinics serving specific communities or people without MSP, a family doctor or stable housing.
  • Appointment-only and virtual clinics — included because they appear in walk-in directories, but you should book rather than drop in.
